Job Title: Phlebotomist II - Rover - Suwanee/AlpharettaJob Description

The main function of a Phlebotomist II is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making workflow recommendations.

Responsibilities

+ Perform blood draws, label specimens, centrifuge specimens, and record maintenance data.

+ Decontaminate and update patient information.

+ Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.

+ Explain the process of venipuncture and specimen collection clearly and courteously.

+ Demonstrate techniques using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.

+ Understand and execute all physicians' orders accurately.

+ Match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.

+ Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test orders.

+ Ensure all test requisitions or computer labels match the script 100%.

+ Package specimens for transport and store samples according to required temperature.

Essential Skills

+ Proficiency in phlebotomy, blood draw, venipuncture, and specimen collection.

+ At least 2-3 years of recent phlebotomy experience.

+ Experience with all age groups from pediatric to geriatric.

+ Customer service experience.

+ Experience with 30+ patient draws per day.

+ Phlebotomy certification.

+ Specimen processing skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma or GED.

Work Environment

The primary location for this role is at LC PSC - 4275 Johns Creek Pkwy Ste B, Suwanee, GA. The candidate must be open to covering at Comprehensive Internal Medicine, a few minutes away at 3890 Johns Creek Pkwy #120, Suwanee, GA. The work hours are Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Suwanee, Georgia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
