Job Title: Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Software Quality Assurance Engineer with expertise in test automation, embedded C, Python, and bash scripting. An electrical engineering background /hardware engineering background is ideal for this role. You will join a dynamic team working on a variety of projects aimed at improving safety and security through innovative technology.

Responsibilities

+ Assist with APEX Infrastructure Support by addressing incoming bug fixes, enhancing code coverage through unit testing, and developing automated testing procedures using C++ and Python.

+ Contribute to APEX Feature Additions by supporting the integration of new features and collaborating with a strong existing team.

+ Participate in the ETHOS Project by resolving outstanding bugs and configuration issues.

+ Provide General Infrastructure Support, including experience with infrastructure and project maintenance procedures such as pipeline execution, hardware lab setup, and testing infrastructure.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in software testing and quality assurance.

+ Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.

+ Understanding of infrastructure, firmware, and RTOS.

+ Knowledge of quality engineering, test procedures, and integration.

+ Experience with bash scripting.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Background in electrical engineering/hardware engineering

+ Ability to interact with multiple departments and work collaboratively.

+ Potential for contract extension or conversion to full-time employment based on performance.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role based in Broomfield, requiring on-site presence three times a week. The position is full-time, with a 40-hour workweek. You will be part of a meaningful initiative focused on life safety and security. The work environment is supportive, with a great team that values extroverted individuals who enjoy interacting with various departments. You will start with a 90-day contract, with the potential to extend to six months or convert to a full-time position based on the quality of work.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $80.00/hr.
