Job Title: Civil Designer
Job Description
The civil designer will be responsible for preparing comprehensive construction drawings for a variety of civil design projects. These projects include tasks such as integrating site surveys, creating topographic maps to establish site base maps, and planning site location and facilities layout. The role also involves overseeing site demolition and preparation, grading and paving, stormwater modeling and management, site utility design (including water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer), and building integration. Additionally, the civil designer will handle drawings for other facility structures, such as fencing and retaining walls, as well as site wastewater and potable water systems.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare construction drawings for civil design projects.
+ Integrate site surveys and topographic mapping to establish site base maps.
+ Plan site location and facilities layout.
+ Manage site demolition and preparation.
+ Oversee site grading and paving operations.
+ Conduct stormwater modeling and manage stormwater facilities.
+ Design site utilities such as water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer.
+ Integrate building structures with site layouts.
+ Design and draft facility structures like fencing and retaining walls.
+ Create drawings for site wastewater and potable water systems.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Civil 3D.
+ Experience in site development and civil design.
+ Skilled in using AutoCAD Civil 3D.
+ Competency in grading and stormwater management.
+ Knowledge in hydrocad and WinSLAMM.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
+ 5+ years of experience with Civil 3D.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $33.00 - $38.00/hr.
