    Job Title: Machine Operator - 1st Shift - $17/HR

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Operator to manage and oversee the operation of our production machinery efficiently. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth flow of production processes while maintaining high standards of quality control.

    Responsibilities

    + Feed the machine with stacks of paper.

    + Monitor the flow of paper through the machine.

    + Pick up large stacks of 50 envelopes at a time, straighten, and box them.

    + Oversee the flow of ink in the stamping machine.

    + Box up finished envelopes.

    + Conduct quality checks on every load of envelopes to ensure accuracy.

    + Document quality checks and record data from these checks.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience as a machine operator or production operator.

    + Mechanical aptitude and experience in production, assembly, or general labor.

    + Ability to read a tape measure, including measurements of 1/8th and 1/16th of an inch.

    + Experience with packing or operating machinery, including loading multiple parts or products onto a machine.

    + Experience operating two machines simultaneously.

    + Ability to stand, walk, twist, reach overhead, and bend for the duration of the shift.

    + Attention to detail and quality control experience.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Ability to read and interpret measurements accurately.

    + Prior experience in a similar production or assembly environment.

     

    Work Environment

     

    This is a family and woman-owned company established in 1985. The facility is large with a warehouse/shipping area near the front dock doors and production on the other side. The environment is loud and well-lit, though not climate-controlled. However, industrial fans are in place to maintain a comfortable temperature. Earplugs are provided and must be worn on the production floor.

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr.
