Job Title: Lead Extrusion Operator

Job Description

The Lead Extrusion Operator is responsible for operating various production machines to safely produce garbage bags. The candidate will need to follow production schedules, setup instructions, operating procedures, and quality specifications.

Responsibilities

+ Operate and monitor extrusion machinery.

+ Set up and adjust machine settings according to product specifications.

+ Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure efficient production.

+ Train and mentor entry-level machine operators.

+ Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production targets.

+ Perform regular quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.

+ Troubleshoot equipment issues and perform routine maintenance to prevent downtime.

Essential Skills

+ Blown Film Extrusion Operator experience (3-5 years).

+ Experience with bag making or sealing.

+ Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

+ Experience operating manufacturing machinery in a similar environment (minimum 4 years).

+ Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ High School Diploma.

+ Previous experience operating extrusion machinery.

+ Flexibility to work rotating shifts and overtime as needed.

Work Environment

The work takes place in a non-climate controlled manufacturing environment. It is fast-paced, and the candidate will be required to stand throughout the shift.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Roanoke, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
