Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Experienced Pump Mechanic to assist with servicing and maintaining pump systems used in various industrial applications. This position involves supporting basic troubleshooting of refrigeration systems, electrical engines, and controllers. You will have the opportunity to learn and operate dehumidification equipment and gain hands-on experience with diesel-powered equipment, including generators and air compressors.

Responsibilities

+ Assist in servicing and maintaining pump systems.

+ Support basic troubleshooting of refrigeration systems, electrical engines, and controllers.

+ Learn to operate dehumidification equipment from manufacturers like CDI and Munters.

+ Inspect and maintain generators, power distribution units, A/C systems, heaters, and shoring equipment.

+ Gain hands-on experience with diesel-powered equipment, including generators and air compressors.

+ Learn the fundamentals of compressed air treatment systems, such as dryers, filters, and aftercoolers.

+ Read and interpret basic electric schematics and hydraulic flow diagrams with guidance.

+ Work primarily on pump-related service tasks, with opportunities to expand into broader mechanical systems.

Essential Skills

+ Experience in repair, hydraulics, and maintenance.

+ Troubleshooting and preventive maintenance skills.

+ Experience with pumps and pump equipment.

+ Understanding of equipment/engine troubleshooting and repair.

+ Mechanical aptitude.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ 3-5 years of experience with repairing and maintaining engines or other maintenance experience.

+ Valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm. The position is based at the shop in San Leandro, with responsibilities that include visiting various client sites, primarily involving environments with sewage systems. As a service mechanic, you will work under the supervision of the branch manager.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Leandro, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $39.00/hr.
