Job Title: General Laborer/Lube Technician

Job Description

Join our team as a Fleet Mechanic to service and maintain our fleet of trucks, trailers, and other heavy equipment. This role involves performing regular preventative maintenance, inspecting equipment for compliance and functionality, and ensuring all moving parts are greased and operational. You will troubleshoot and repair issues, interpret repair manuals and work orders, respond to roadside calls for disabled vehicles as needed, and maintain a clean and organized work environment. Adherence to company safety rules and regulations is essential.

Responsibilities

+ Perform regular preventative maintenance on fleet trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment.

+ Inspect all fleet equipment for compliance and functionality.

+ Ensure all moving parts are well-greased and operational.

+ Troubleshoot issues and participate in repairs.

+ Accurately interpret repair manuals and work orders.

+ Respond to roadside calls for disabled vehicles as needed.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

+ Follow all company safety rules and regulations.

Essential Skills

+ Mechanical expertise, particularly in diesel engines.

+ Experience in service and fleet maintenance.

+ Proficiency in brake servicing, mechanical repair, troubleshooting, and repair.

+ Knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, diesel engine diagnosis, and transmission.

+ Ability to service and diagnose brakes and diesel trucks (tractor/trailers) and power-train mechanics.

+ Ability to use basic hand tools.

+ Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Diesel experience is required.

+ Experience with preventative maintenance and diagnosing diesel engines.

+ Must be at least 18 years old.

+ Authorized to work in the US.

Work Environment

Work is conducted in a rendering facility, which can include wet or slippery floors and high heat or cold temperatures. The environment may also involve exposure to dead animals, so it is important that candidates are aware of and comfortable with these conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Kuna, Idaho.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $27.00/hr.
