Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in CNC programming and machining, with the ability to operate CNC lathes and milling machines. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to producing high-quality components in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
+ Set up and operate Haas CNC lathes and milling machines according to specifications.
+ Perform CNC programming and CAM programming for various machining tasks.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models to determine machining requirements.
+ Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines to ensure accuracy of machined parts.
+ Conduct electrical discharge machining as needed for specific projects.
+ Apply GD&T principles to maintain quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
+ Collaborate with engineering teams using SolidWorks for design modifications and tooling adjustments.
+ Maintain equipment by performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting issues as they arise.
+ Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize production efficiency and reduce waste.
+ Assist in assembly processes when required, utilizing hand tools and power tools effectively.
+ Ensure compliance with safety standards while operating machinery and handling materials.
Essential Skills
+ Proven experience as a CNC Machinist or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
+ Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in machining processes.
+ Proficiency in CNC programming, CAM programming, and blueprint reading.
+ Familiarity with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines.
+ Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tasks.
+ Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced setting.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with Fanuc controls is preferred but not mandatory.
+ Knowledge of plastics injection molding processes is a plus.
+ Forklift operation experience is advantageous but not required.
+ Welding skills are considered an asset.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Pennington, New Jersey.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $40.00/hr.
