    Job Title: Truck Mechanic

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled and motivated Truck Mechanic to join our fleet maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of heavy-duty trucks and trailers. This role ensures our fleet operates safely, efficiently, and in compliance with DOT regulations.

    Responsibilities

    + Perform routine and scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) on tractors and trailers.

    + Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and software.

    + Inspect and service brakes, tires, suspension systems, and drivetrains.

    + Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs using fleet management systems.

    + Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, and company safety standards.

    + Support shop cleanliness, safety protocols, and inventory control.

    + Participate in ongoing training and certification programs.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software.

    + Mechanical aptitude with the ability to handle hand and power tools.

    + Experience in performing brake jobs, oil changes, and wheel seals.

    + Ability to conduct FHWA inspections.

    + Must hold a CDL license.

    + Must have own tools.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Reefer experience is a plus.

    + Trailer experience is a plus.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in a well-equipped shop with a focus on safety and cleanliness. The shift schedule is Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 7 pm to 5:30 am. The role requires working with diesel, mechanical systems, and performing tasks without the need for engine or transmission repair experience.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of NA, Texas.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $28.00/hr.
