    Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator

    Job Description

    Join our team as a Heavy Equipment Operator, where you will work extensive hours from 6am to 6pm, Monday through Friday, with potential Saturday shifts based on workload and weather conditions. Occasionally, 14-hour workdays may be required. As a Utility Tractor Operator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough pre-inspections and end-of-day inspections of machinery, reporting any concerns to management.

    Responsibilities

    + Operate utility tractors pulling Box Blade, Sheeps Foot, and Disc attachments.

    + Perform pre-inspection and end-of-day inspection of machines.

    + Report any machine concerns to management.

    + Work in cutting, filling, or haul road operations.

    + Coordinate with other equipment operators, such as following Dozers and Motor Graders.

    Essential Skills

    + Experience with heavy equipment operation, including tractors and utility tractors.

    + Familiarity with commercial and civil construction, grading, earthwork, and earthmoving.

    + Ability to operate various equipment such as Box Blade, Roller, Compactor, and Tiller.

    + Entry-level experience is acceptable.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Valid driver's license preferred.

    + Ability to travel to other sites if requested, with company vehicle use available for eligible drivers.

    We offer a generous per diem of $830 per week, along with mileage reimbursement of 54 cents per mile for travel from Omaha, NE to more permanent locations. Enjoy 20-35 hours of overtime per week, enhancing your earning potential.

     

    Work Environment

     

    You will work on a civil construction site, located in a wide-open space that was formerly farmland. The site adheres to strict safety protocols per OSHA standards, and maintaining communication and awareness of surroundings is critical. A professional appearance and behavior in line with the Site Code of Conduct are mandatory.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
