Body Technician - $40/hr DOE

Job Title: Body Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled body technician to join our body shop in New Brighton, MN. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years of body repair experience and demonstrate a willingness to learn repairs on medium and heavy-duty truck bodies. While painting skills are not required, experience with water-borne paints is advantageous.

Responsibilities

+ Perform body repairs and reconstruction on various vehicles.

+ Conduct collision repair and alignment tasks.

+ Utilize MIG and TIG welding techniques for fabrication and repairs.

+ Employ hand tools effectively to achieve high-quality results.

+ Handle composite materials for body repairs and reconstructions.

Essential Skills

+ Minimum of 5 years of auto body repair experience.

+ Proficiency in welding and body reconstruction.

+ Working knowledge of repairs for damaged body parts and components.

+ Familiarity with heavy-duty repairs such as work trucks, semi-trucks, RVs, and buses.

+ Possession of a personal set of tools.

+ Must have a valid driver's license.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Experience with water-borne paints is beneficial.

+ Previous experience in a body shop environment is a plus.

Work Environment

The position is located at a diesel/truck shop in New Brighton, MN, with a schedule of first shift, Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Optional Saturday shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. are available for those looking to demonstrate dedication and enhance their career prospects.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
