    Job Title: Lead Restoration Technician

    Job Description

    Lead and supervise mitigation crews on-site to ensure efficient and effective project execution. Perform water extraction, structural drying, mold remediation, fire/smoke damage cleanup, and other mitigation tasks. Conduct moisture readings, environmental testing, and damage assessments. Document job progress using company software and ensure compliance with industry standards (IICRC). Communicate clearly with customers, insurance adjusters, and internal teams. Ensure proper use and maintenance of equipment and PPE. Train and mentor junior technicians. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized job site at all times.

    Responsibilities

    + Train and mentor junior technicians.

    Essential Skills

    + Proficiency in construction, carpentry, and restoration.

    + Experience with water, fire, mold, and mitigation tasks.

    + Ability to use hand and power tools daily for demolition and haul away.

    + Project management skills to manage multiple jobs and meet deadlines.

    + Technical proficiency with industry-standard tools and software.

    + Strong observational skills for detail-oriented work.

    + Excellent customer service and communication skills.

    + Team leadership experience in training and motivating team members.

    + Problem-solving skills in dynamic and emergency situations.

    + Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and IICRC standards for regulatory compliance.

    + Efficient time management for planning and logistics.

    + Physical ability to work in confined spaces and varying environmental conditions.

    + Skilled in documentation and reporting for insurance and compliance purposes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience in project management and ability to prioritize tasks.

    + Familiarity with moisture meters and thermal imaging cameras.

    + Experience in training and mentoring team members.

    + Understanding of OSHA, EPA, and IICRC standards.

    Work Environment

     

    Work in residential homes, commercial buildings, and disaster zones, often in confined or hazardous spaces. Be prepared for outdoor environments and on-call emergency situations. This role requires adherence to safety protocols and the use of personal protective equipment.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Aurora, Illinois.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $30.00/hr.
