Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our production floor. Your responsibilities will include performing preventative and corrective maintenance, overseeing equipment setup, and collaborating with various departments to streamline workflow.
Responsibilities
+ Oversee production floor operations.
+ Respond to maintenance calls and complete PM checklists as necessary.
+ Set up equipment in automatic machines, manual operations, and other work areas according to work instructions.
+ Change punches and tooling to maintain production efficiency.
+ Repair manufacturing equipment following company protocols.
+ Complete preventative maintenance checklists and related tasks.
+ Identify and resolve recurring problems to prevent future occurrences.
+ Maintain inventory quantities accurately.
+ Follow safety procedures and report any hazardous conditions immediately.
+ Collaborate with Bagging, Roll Making, and Molding departments on workflow.
+ Coordinate with Production Supervisor and Scheduling on manufacturing order status.
+ Perform basic quality assessments and paperwork sign-off.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in mechanical and electrical maintenance.
+ Knowledge of preventative and corrective maintenance.
+ Familiarity with production and programming.
+ Ability to supervise and collaborate with teams.
+ Experience in molding processes.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ High school diploma or GED required.
+ 2+ years' experience in related fields or training is preferred.
+ Optic/vision inspection experience is a plus.
+ Familiarity with PLCs is beneficial.

Work Environment
The work environment involves working near moving mechanical parts and occasionally handling toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, or airborne particles. There may be exposure to explosive materials, but all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) is provided. The noise level is typically moderate.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rensselaer, New York.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
