Description We are looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team in Chicago, Illinois. This is a long-term contract position that offers the opportunity to work on complex litigation matters, provide critical case management support, and contribute to administrative operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil litigation, trial preparation, and discovery processes, as well as excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in drafting legal documents, templates, motions, briefs, and discovery materials.

• Manage case calendars, maintain accurate records, and oversee service of process for new cases.

• Provide electronic discovery and document production support using document management software.

• Ensure timely filing and serving of legal documents while cite-checking, proofreading, and formatting pleadings and correspondence.

• Conduct research on procedural rules for various court venues and ensure compliance.

• Maintain communication with clients, attorneys, opposing counsel, and court staff.

• Support trial preparation by organizing evidence and assisting during hearings and trials.

• Handle administrative tasks such as processing invoices, tracking reimbursements, preparing timesheets, and coordinating office visitors.

• Participate in office planning meetings and training sessions to stay updated on best practices and technology.

• Contribute to organization-wide meetings and training as needed. Requirements • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in litigation.

• Proficiency in discovery processes, case management software, and trial preparation.

• Strong understanding of civil litigation and criminal law.

• Exceptional drafting and document formatting skills.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients, attorneys, and court personnel.

• Experience with Spanish language translation and communication is highly desirable.

• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management abilities.

• Familiarity with legal research tools and document management systems.
