Are you a skilled legal professional with a strong background in research, analysis, and case preparation? We are seeking an experienced Briefing Attorney with 4+ years of practical experience to join our dynamic legal team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with talented colleagues in a fast-paced environment while providing strategic assistance to attorneys on complex legal matters.

Key Responsibilities

+ Legal Research and Analysis: Conduct thorough legal research to support case strategies, ensuring all information is accurate and relevant. Evaluate applicable statutes, case law, and regulations to provide insight and recommendations

+ Draft Briefs and Memoranda: Prepare comprehensive and persuasive briefs, memoranda, motions, and other legal documents necessary for litigation or transactional matters

+ Collaborate with Legal Teams: Partner with attorneys and paralegals to develop efficient case strategies and assist in the preparation for court proceedings.

+ Review Case Materials: Analyze client files, discovery documents, and other evidence to build strong cases and assist with case presentation

+ Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all casework is executed in compliance with relevant laws, ethical standards, and best practices.

+ Stay Current on Legal Trends: Remain informed on changes to statutes, regulations, case law, and industry developments that may impact legal strategies or outcomes

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

+ Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school; MUST BE licensed in Texas.

+ Experience: Minimum of 4 years of experience as a briefing attorney, legal associate, or similar role in a law firm or corporate legal department.

+ Technical Proficiency: Strong command of legal research tools (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis) and Microsoft Office Suite.

+ Writing Skills: Exceptional written communication skills with demonstrated ability to draft high-quality legal documents.

+ Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on accuracy in legal research and document preparation.

+ Problem Solving: Proven ability to analyze complex legal issues and develop creative, effective solutions.

+ Interpersonal Skills: Strong ability to collaborate and communicate clearly with colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders.
