Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our team in Ann Arbor, Michigan. In this role, you will be responsible for managing key financial operations, including billing, cash collection, and accounts receivable processes. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining accurate records and ensuring timely payment from customers.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage accounts receivable processes to ensure timely collection of payments.

• Conduct commercial collections and follow up on outstanding invoices with clients.

• Reconcile and apply cash payments accurately to customer accounts.

• Process billing functions and ensure invoices are generated and delivered promptly.

• Handle Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions efficiently and securely.

• Collaborate with internal teams to resolve payment discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.

• Prepare regular reports on accounts receivable status for management review.

• Implement best practices to improve cash flow and reduce outstanding receivables.

• Maintain compliance with company policies and accounting regulations. Requirements

• associate degree or higher required

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or related financial roles.

• Strong knowledge of commercial collections and cash application processes.

• Proficiency in handling Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.

• Familiarity with billing functions and financial recordkeeping.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

• Strong analytical skills to identify and resolve payment issues.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office tools.
