Overview:
Westchester Jewish Community Services (WJCS), a non-profit organization, was founded in 1943 and has grown to be the largest provider of licensed outpatient community mental health services and one of the largest human service agencies in Westchester County. We provide state-of-the-art programs and services and compassionate care to more than 20,000 people of all ages and backgrounds each year.
The Community Programs Division is seeking a full-time Residential Support Specialist to join our team. This role is key in providing support to our residential programs while ensuring compliance with all OPWDD regulatory standards and WJCS policies and procedures. The salary range for this position is $45,000 - $50,000.
Responsibilities:
As a valued member of our team, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
+ Ensure accurate billing to maintain regulatory compliance.
+ Review of all monthly data sheets for documentation and billing accuracy.
+ Oversee completion of personal expenditure plans (PEPs) and money management assessments (MMAs) to ensure compliance.
+ Complete, track and maintain all required documentation, records, and reports to ensure regulatory compliance.
+ Conduct monthly audits of paperwork - including but not limited to: weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual - to ensure compliance from Residence Managers.
+ Provide support including word processing, data entry, filing and banking record management.
+ Comply with all Incident Management regulations, including mandatory reporting and participation in the investigative process.
+ Track and ensure that rents (where applicable) are paid on time.
Requirements:
We are seeking candidates who possess the following qualifications:
+ Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access and Outlook.
+ Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple projects.
+ A proactive self-starting approach with attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
+ Performs job function with ethics, honesty and integrity.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal skills to build effective working relationships with colleagues, supervisors, clients, program officials, and others.
+ BA/BS in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work or a related field.
+ Knowledge of Home and Community-Based Waiver Services preferred.
