HOG SCALE OPERATOR

Responsibilities:

+ Monitor head counts, weights, tattoo numbers and other information required by Senior Alley Buyer, government inspectors, and other plant personnel

+ Answer phone located at the scale and be able to answer questions on loads, producer, and / or truckers questions

+ Communicate with truckers by answering questions and getting information to check the load in

+ Use the computer full time to verify load numbers in our CPS computer system

+ Work with yard personnel on confirming pen counts, draft counts, and tattoo numbers

+ Multitasking by checking drivers in and verifying schedule and scaling

+ Fast paced environment where attention to detail is required

+ Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Attention to details

+ Computer knowledge

+ Able to communicate verbally and in written form in English

+ Bilingual preferred

+ Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
