• Internal Transportation Dispatcher

    UHS (Johnson City, NY)


    Position OverviewUnder general supervision to provide for the continuity of prompt, efficient, safe and reliable patient, passenger, equipment and supply services by dispatching Internal Transportation Aides and External Transportation drivers in compliance with departmental/UHSH policies, Service Delivery Standards and department Quality Improvement guidelines.

    Patient Transportation and Linen Services, UHS Wilson Medical Center

    Primary Work Shift:

    Rotational

    Regular Scheduled Weekly Hours:

    20

    Compensation Range:

    $17.98 - $25.17 per hour, depending on experience

    Education/Experience

    Minimum Required:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent. Two (2) years of experience involving the transport of patients, equipment, supplies and other materials. Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions.

    + Preferred:

    + Experience handling multiple phone lines. Previous hospital experience as aide/orderly, transportation aide, dispatcher operator or related position.

     

    License/Certification

     

    + Preferred:

    + Unrestricted Driver’s License.
