Position OverviewMake a meaningful impact each day as a Medication Assistant, supporting residents who need help managing their health and daily routines. In this role, you’ll assist with medication delivery and documentation, personal care, and coordination of medical appointments—helping residents remain safe, comfortable, and engaged in their daily lives.
Working under the guidance of licensed professionals, you’ll build trusted relationships with residents while promoting their independence and well-being in a supportive care environment.
Primary Department, Division, or Unit:
Residential Healthcare Facility, UHS Senior Living at Ideal
Work Shift and Schedule:
This is a per diem position, which means you will work on an as needed, agreed upon basis. Working hours will be assigned by your manager.
Compensation Range:
$15.00 - $20.74 per hour, depending on experience
This position is not eligible for benefits.

Job Responsibilities
+ Provides residents with the correct dosage of prescribed medication at scheduled times and documents administration as required
+ Supervises self-administration of medications and assists as needed; observes and records ingestion or refusal
+ Assists residents in collecting specimens for diagnostic testing as ordered by healthcare providers
+ Monitors medication inventory; ensures timely reordering and maintains required supplies, forms, and documentation
+ Responds promptly to emergency call bells and assists residents in seeking urgent medical care based on assessed needs
+ Conducts monthly medication audits and chart reviews to ensure accuracy, compliance, and up-to-date records
+ Maintains the medication cart, verifying that medications are current, properly stored, and available in the correct dosage
+ Assists residents with personal care needs including hygiene, toileting, dressing, and mobility support
+ Performs light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, bed making, and linen changes based on schedule or resident needs
+ Maintains resident records and departmental files; transcribes and files provider orders and ensures shift-to-shift documentation is complete
+ Coordinates and prepares residents for medical, dental, and mental health appointments; maintains calendars and assists with paperwork
+ Offers beverages and snacks at designated times to support residents’ hydration and nutritional needs; encourages participation in daily routines and activities
Position Qualifications
Minimum Required:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ At least 18 years of age
+ Medication Assistant training completed within 2 months of hire
+ First aid and CPR certification within 3 months of hire
