Summary You will serve as a MACHINIST in the Mechanical Division, Production Resources Department, of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will program for point-to-point and continuous path machine tools having contouring capability. You will interpret the scope and intent of work orders for obtaining and ordering the proper types of materials for advance planning. You will plan and develop the sequence of operations necessary to machine the parts. You will analyze flex-o-writer or computer output manuscript and readout sheets, checking for completeness and errors. You will manage CAD/CAM graphic computer systems. You will prepare program manuscripts, listing all necessary information such as mathematical definition of part, machine coordinates, machine feed, and speeds.
