Job Description
We are looking for a **Project Manager** to responsible for the management of one or multiple moderately complex projects concurrently; planning and performing analysis of company functions, processes, and activities **.** This position will be **full-time** contract and **hybrid** (3 days onsite, 2 days remote per week).
What You’ll Do
+ Serve as the primary liaison between the program office, stakeholders, and development teams, ensuring alignment despite competing priorities
+ Partner with developers to ensure requirements are clearly understood, features are developed, and bugs are fixed within agreed timelines
+ Facilitate Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and defect triage sessions
+ Work closely with the program office to streamline and prioritize the product backlog, clarify requirements, and remove blockers
+ Coordinate with internal teams, third-party vendors, and leadership for the flawless execution of projects
+ Review vendor Statements of Work (SOWs) and provide recommendations and feedback to the CIO
+ Prepare and manage project budgets; recommend adjustments where necessary
+ Maintain and update project epics, user stories, and tasks in Jira, ensuring clarity and accountability
+ Generate reporting and updates for US DOE and internal leadership
+ Lead business analysis efforts for Phase 3 of the Student Longitudinal Data Systems project, including student and staff data collection requirements
+ Conduct stakeholder meetings to gather, document, and validate requirements
+ Translate business needs into actionable user stories for Agile delivery
+ Evaluate business processes, identify gaps, and recommend improvements or solutions
+ Demonstrate leadership across the full software development lifecycle in both Agile and Waterfall environments
What You'll Need
Required:
+ 7+ years of combined experience in project management and business analysis roles supporting software development projects
+ Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies
+ Proven ability to manage difficult stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and build consensus in challenging environments
+ Hands-on experience with Jira or similar project management tools, with expertise in backlog management and defect tracking
+ Familiarity with testing tools and practices to support QA efforts
+ Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
+ Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities simultaneously
+ Track record of managing vendor relationships and providing executive-level reporting
Preferred:
+ Experience with Salesforce (CRM, Service Cloud, or custom applications)
+ Exposure to data warehousing and reporting tools such as Snowflake, Tableau, or similar
+ Familiarity with AWS cloud services for hosting and data integration
+ Prior experience in education sector projects or with statewide longitudinal data systems
Physical Demands
+ Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards
+ Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.
+ Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
The pay range for this position is $72.50 - $82.50 per hour (USD). Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role includes medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access. Employees in this role may also be entitled to paid sick leave as provided by applicable law.
