    JOB SUMMARY

    The Stewardship Officer is responsible for developing and managing BSW Dallas Foundation annual stewardship activities. Reporting to the Manager of Stewardship, this professional will work closely with multiple teams to execute a comprehensive stewardship strategy, which includes producing personalized donor impact and stewardship reports, and supporting the development team and executives with high-level donor engagement activities. This position is vital to the Foundation’s efforts and will serve a primary role in retaining and engaging our existing and growing donor base through thoughtful stewardship strategies that demonstrate gratitude, highlight philanthropic impact and enhance donor engagement. This position requires the ability to work independently, participate in significant teamwork and includes frequent contact with Foundation leadership, physicians and employees at all levels of the organization.

     

    True hybrid position - will work onsite (downtown Dallas) three days each week.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE ROLE

    + Work in collaboration with the development team to develop short and long-range plans for the stewardship of major gifts and annual donors.

    + Produce personalized donor impact stewardship reports.

    + Support or facilitate stewardship events and activities.

    + Facilitate the enrollment of members in donor loyalty programs.

    + Draft personalized thank you notes from leadership.

    + Manage annual stewardship touchpoints (Thanksgiving outreach, summer mailer, etc.)

    + Ability to perform administrative stewardship tasks.

    + Contribute to departmental planning and evaluation of program efforts. Ensure all activities happen within allotted budgets and be mindful of cost/benefit analyses when developing strategy.

    + Provide detailed, timely and accurate data entry of relevant information and action tracks in Raiser’s Edge.

    KEY SUCCESS FACTORS

    + Must be a proficient project manager and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.

    + Interest in strategic planning.

    + Proven ability to implement new initiatives, measure and discern progress and adjust to maximize results.

    + Must be comfortable working within a demanding and complex corporate environment with access to highly confidential and proprietary information.

    + Strong work ethic and willingness to take ownership for wide-ranging responsibilities.

    + Applies creativity and resourcefulness to projects.

    + Outstanding customer service skills and high expectations for quality.

    + Proactively builds and grows relationships, collaborates with team members and gains alignment.

    + Curious learner, adaptable to evolving business needs and a changing environment.

    + Strong interpersonal skills, maturity and good judgment and capable of communicating with a diverse range of individuals.

    + Data analysis, interpretation and visualization skills.

    + Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and apply strong attention to detail.

    + Experience working with donor database Raiser’s Edge a plus.

    + Experience working in Microsoft Office 365 Suite including Microsoft Word, Excel PowerPoint and SharePoint; experience working with Adobe Creative Suite.

    + A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Non-profit Studies or other related disciplines from an accredited college or university strongly preferred.

    - EDUCATION - Bachelor's or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification
