    Position Title:

    Airport Tenant Relations Coordinator

    Job Description:

    Under the general supervision of the Airport Property and Real Estate Manager, develops and enhances relationships between the Salt Lake City Department of Airports and its tenants and customers, to ensure the Airport's “customer first" approach is applied daily. Serves as the liaison between the tenants and customers, and the various divisions of the Airport, including Design and Construction Management, Maintenance, Operations, Finance, Administration, I.T., and other Airport sections and/or employees. This is a professional position requiring outstanding customer service, problem solving and organizational skills.

    About the Position:

    The Airport Tenant Relations Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting the success of Salt Lake City International Airport’s customers and tenants. This position serves as the primary connection between the Airport and its tenants—fostering collaboration, resolving issues, and ensuring an exceptional customer experience. You’ll help coordinate tenant projects, monitor compliance with Airport policies, and facilitate communication across departments to keep operations running smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who excels in relationship building, problem solving, and delivering high-quality service in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

     

    This position is scheduled to close 10/20/2025 unless it is deemed necessary to leave open. Early application submittal is encouraged.

    Position Salary Range:

    $74,191 to $87,284 annually based on qualifications and experience.

    Typical Duties:

    + Develops, implements and enforces; tenant contractual obligations, Airport policies, Federal regulatory compliance, Airport standards and service levels for leasehold maintenance and other landlord/customer/tenant relationships and issues.

    + Collaborates with Airport departments to coordinate logistics and processes for tenant requests, routine maintenance, remodeling and build-to-suit projects. Ensures necessary and timely communications take place between the Salt Lake City Department of Airports, tenants, contractors or construction crew. Monitors progress, from initial request to completion.

    + Provides a periodic newsletter to tenants, creates presentations and communicates verbally to all tenants at various Airport or City sponsored meetings. Maintains the Airport’s master Tenant Contact List.

    + Performs ongoing inspections of tenant-owned facilities that will eventually revert to the Airport. Upon reversion, Assists the Airport Property & Real Estate Manager with closing out Lease Agreements and directs Airport departments for maintenance or operational issues.

    + Supports Operational Readiness, Activation and Transition (ORAT) activities. Duties may include administrative functions, provides contractor oversight, creates trials and simulations, and leads Airport staff, tenants or the general public during transition activities.

    + Assists the Airport’s Commercial Manager with daily operational needs and concession tenants new or remodel construction projects as needed.

    + The Airport operates 365 days a year, 24/7, and occasionally requires working during irregular operations (IROPS), unscheduled emergencies or to accommodate tenant operational needs.

    + The Salt Lake City Department of Airports is an Enterprise fund of the Salt Lake City Corporation, and the position will be required to function in an intense business environment, with a high degree of private sector interaction.

    + Performs other related duties as required.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelors degree in business administration, property management, finance, or related field. A minimum of one (1) year of experience related to the duties listed above is preferred. Related education and experience may be substituted, one for the other, on a year-for-year basis.

    + Ability to understand, interpret and write contractual agreements.

    + Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work from numerous sources with conflicting schedules, priorities, and deadlines. Ability to interact well with internal and external customers and function as an effective team member.

    + Ability to gather, compile and disseminate information; solve problems; and work independently.

    + Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Ability to present information and make presentations to large groups. Ability to use computer programs including word processing, spreadsheets and graphics/presentation programs.

    + Possession of a valid driver’s license or driving privilege card and your own transportation available for periodic use.

    Working Conditions:

    + Light physical effort. Handling of light weights and generally pleasant working conditions with little or no exposure to hazards. Exposure to stressful situations associated with multiple projects, deadlines, declining tenant requests, etc.
