    Job Title: Patient Services Operator

    Job Description

    As a Patient Services Operator, you will be the first point of contact for patients and medical staff, responsible for directing calls and dispatching critical messages. You will monitor alarms and codes, maintaining accurate schedules for departments and physicians.

    Responsibilities

    + Answer and route inbound calls and messages in a courteous manner, ensuring an average answer time of 99%.

    + Dispatch routine and critical clinical messages and vital patient statistics to designated hospital staff.

    + Monitor and communicate information related to codes, alerts, alarms, and drills according to established protocols.

    + Page notifications accurately based on situations or requests to the appropriate personnel.

    + Input and delete account updates, alerting management to any issues that could affect customer service.

    + Use independent judgment in minor decision-making where alternatives are limited.

    + Work directly with patients, customers, healthcare professionals, and staff.

    Essential Skills

    + Two or more years of customer service experience.

    + Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

    + Ability to operate various telecommunications systems effectively.

    + Proficiency in handling stressful situations calmly and accurately.

    + Capability to maintain a friendly and polite demeanor under pressure.

    + Proficient typing speed of 40 words per minute or higher.

    + Basic knowledge of telephone/computer technology, including ASCOM systems.

     

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

     

    + High School Diploma or GED required.

    + Flexibility to work various days, weekends, and holidays across different shifts.

    Work Environment

    You will work in a dynamic healthcare setting, interacting with internal and external customers, as well as healthcare professionals. Shifts vary, including weekends and holidays, requiring adaptability to different schedules.

     

    Job Type & Location

     

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tulsa, Oklahoma.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $15.00 - $18.00/hr.
