Actively looking for a Staff Accountant to join a growing team in the aerospace industry!

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team and help maintain the financial accuracy and operational efficiency of our organization. This role involves preparing journal entries, conducting account reconciliations, and managing Fixed Assets. The ideal candidate will support internal and external audits, contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, and analyze financial data to identify trends and discrepancies. We're seeking someone who can improve and establish processes in a highly manual environment, bringing structure and efficiency to our financial operations.

Responsibilities

+ Prepare and post journal entries, and perform account reconciliations for assigned business units.

+ Oversee accurate Fixed Asset tracking and management across the organization.

+ Collaborate with auditors during annual audits, ensuring adherence to SOX compliance standards.

+ Contribute to month-end and year-end close activities to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

+ Review and interpret financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.

+ Develop and enhance processes to increase efficiency in a manual work environment.

Essential Skills

+ 3–5 years of hands-on accounting experience.

+ Strong understanding of SOX compliance and internal control frameworks.

+ Skilled in Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and financial statement preparation.

+ Proven experience managing full-cycle close processes.

+ Experience in working with publicly traded companies.

+ Solid knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

+ Familiarity with mid-to-large scale ERP systems.

+ Intermediate proficiency in Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and SUMIF functions.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a relevant field

The position is fully on-site in Venice, FL, offering a family-oriented culture.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $41.00/hr.
