BASF’s Coatings LLC is a global expert in the development, production and marketing of innovative and sustainable automotive OEM and refinish coatings as well as applied surface treatments for metal, plastic and glass substrates for a wide range of industries.
Located at our Southfield, Michigan corporate office, you’ll be responsible for leading the digitalization activities associated with our S/4HANA STAR system launch and ongoing upgrades.
As a key leader for the EC business in the region, you directly support our SAP users across North America’s automotive OEM and refinish markets. This role is critical in ongoing operations, efficiency improvements and digital initiative implementation.

+ Change Management: Support the implementation of change concepts and collaborate with interdisciplinary and cross-functional expert communities. Independently design and execute change initiatives to assist the project team and other stakeholders from various business areas. Monitor and evaluate the progress of change projects and adjust measures as necessary. Your focus areas will be Planning, PtP, OtC, TM and Logistics.
+ Project Leadership: Oversee and direct the review of all critical BASF processes where changes are still required and work closely with the global team to implement improvements. Manage all testing and upgrade activities as well as the relationship with the global process owners and 3rd party vendors.
+ Stakeholder Engagement: Prepare and moderate change and communication-related events, such as workshops and town halls. Design targeted measures to inform, motivate, and engage relevant stakeholders. Measure the effectiveness of these initiatives.
+ IT Project Management: Coordinate various activities across functional workstreams during solution design, build, and rollout. Contribute to the project management team by steering the Adherence-to-Standard process and consulting senior management to enable informed decision-making.
If you...
+ Have a Supply Chain, Business, Data Science or related field Bachelor’s degree.
+ Have 5+ years' experience in a supply chain field or relevant digitalization experience. Automotive or chemical are strongly preferred.
+ Proven leadership focused on continuous improvement, change management, associate development and creating a positive culture.
+ Demonstrated project coordination and time management, multi-tasking, and delivering on commitments. Must be comfortable in a dynamic setting with diverse personalities.
+ Solid analytical skills with a LEAN mindset and knowledge of current SCM concepts and SAP/ERP systems. Expertise launching digital tools and SAP highly preferred.
