• Data Center Technician (Night Shift)

    Description

    This position will secure, operate, monitor, measure, and maintain data center service level commitments, while ensuring facility appearance and integrity during assigned night shifts. The data center plays a critical role in maintaining availability, business continuity, and security for internal and external customers. High standards are expected to ensure the integrity and functionality of hosted systems and support services.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    (1) Security:

    + Staff the main data center security station and enforce access control

    + Detect and dispatch help for facility issues; troubleshoot when possible

    + Conduct routine walkthroughs to correct appearance and functional issues

    + Escort vendors and guests as needed without abandoning command center duties

    + Respond to trouble situations and escalate to on-call personnel

    + Monitor and record vital statistics; produce shift and weekly reports

    + Maintain accurate incident and change logs per current policies

    (2) Technician Support:

    + Monitor and operate critical data center functions

    + Assist with support tickets, managed services monitoring, and hardware installs

    + Provide “Remote Hands” support as requested

    + Install fiber/Ethernet cross-connect cabling in overhead trays

    + Perform nightly cleaning duties of the data center environment

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $26.00/hr.
