Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Desktop Support Technician to provide hands-on technical support across multiple locations, primarily based at our Asheville headquarters. This role is ideal for someone with strong troubleshooting abilities and excellent interpersonal skills, capable of supporting a diverse user base in a fast-paced environment.
The technician will assist local companies with limited or no internal IT teams by managing desktop maintenance, hardware upgrades, and systems monitoring. This includes supporting laptops, tablets, smartphones, MacBooks, Office 365 applications, and proprietary software. A significant portion of support will involve resolving issues within Outlook, including calendar permissions, rules, and delegation.
Key Responsibilities
+ Provide face-to-face technical support for end users across multiple office locations.
+ Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues on Windows and Mac endpoints.
+ Perform desktop imaging, configuration, and deployment of new systems.
+ Support Office 365 applications, with a focus on Outlook-related issues such as calendar access, rules, and permissions.
+ Install and configure new hardware including laptops, monitors, printers, and other peripherals.
+ Assist with system upgrades and removal of outdated equipment.
+ Monitor systems and respond to incoming support tickets in a timely and professional manner.
+ Utilize ConnectWise (preferred) or similar ticketing systems to manage and document service requests.
Required Skills & Qualifications
+ 5+ years of experience in hardware and software troubleshooting, including laptops, tablets, smartphones, and MacBooks.
+ 3+ years of experience supporting Windows and Mac operating systems, including imaging and endpoint support.
+ Strong customer service and communication skills; proven ability to support users face-to-face.
+ Experience with Office 365, especially Outlook troubleshooting.
+ Familiarity with ticketing systems; ConnectWise experience is a strong plus.
+ Ability to work independently and manage tasks across multiple locations.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
