We are seeking a Director, HR Data Analyst to join the HRBI team. In this role you will help enable the Microsoft and HR mission as the HRBI Analytics & Advisory Leader to the Chief People Officer’s COO Organization. You will collaborate closely within HRBI and the HR COO organization to inform and advise on impactful people and culture decisions using insights and automated solutions. You will inform HR strategy by delivering analytics-driven executive reports, Board of Directors materials, and strategic insights that highlight key people trends, risks, and opportunities. You will apply a wide range of analytical tools and techniques to create data-driven narratives and presentations for HR and Corporate Communications, supporting publications, events, and leadership forums. You will track external workforce and industry trends, compare them to internal data, and communicate relevant findings to stakeholders to guide strategic decisions and enhance organizational agility.

Responsibilities
+ Lead discussions with customers and/or stakeholders to interpret analytical results, develop insights, and articulate pragmatic recommendations that are feasible and account for potential data limitations.
+ Synthesize complex analysis, insights, and data to the appropriate communication style for different audiences, ensuring messages are both understood and are actionable.
+ Determine appropriate analytical and statistical techniques to address business and research questions, execute analyses, and interpret results with actionable recommendations for a variety of stakeholders.
+ Act as a trusted advisor on HR data governance, privacy, and ethical use, modeling the highest standards of compliance and stewardship. You’ll remain consistently aware of changes in data privacy and exemplify and enforce team standards related to bias, privacy, and more.
+ Apply expertise in data, business, and customer needs to determine optimal analytical and statistical techniques. Interpret results within relevant business contexts and addresse business and/or research questions with actionable recommendations.
+ Embrace the use and contribute to continuous improvement of the latest innovative data solutions and analytical tools enabling analytics & advisory work as customer zero.
+ Establish and leverage working relationships within and across teams and proactively manage actions across your network of peers.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 6+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis; OR Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 4+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis; OR equivalent experience.
+ 5+ years of people analytics experience
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 9+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis; OR Masters Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 7+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis
Data Analytics IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $251,900 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $272,300 per year.
