As a Senior Security Opernations Engineer you will leverage data and systems to understand and build processes to make our response to threats, incidents, and risks and apply more effective and efficient. Responsibilities
+ Drive investigation and response efficiency through smart automation and process change.
+ Establish and run triage and scrum processes to ensure effective leverage of resourcing across global resources.
+ Recommend and facilitate investigative referrals
+ Revise live site security rules and settings to prevent additional issues
+ Triage and route compliance and security work items to applicable teams or resources.
+ Analyze ongoing performance of the process and objectives
+ Propose service changes and new features in order to ensure continuing excellence
+ Participate in cross team projects and forums dedicated to improving Fraud and Security response at Microsoft.
+ Drive delivery of engineered solutions that are configurable and responsive to the needs of our response teams.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
+ Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
+ OR 5+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, anomaly detection, Security Operations Center (SOC) detection, threat analytics, security incident and event management (SIEM), information technology (IT), and operations incident response.
+ 5+ years of security or compliance investigations or security or compliance program management experience
+ 3+ years experience in developing data analytics services and/or Microsoft Azure based solutions
+ 3+ years of experience in investigative processes, data management processes and practices, and data quality control
Other Requirements
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
+ Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master's Degree or Doctorate in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or related field
+ OR 7+ years of experience in software development lifecycle, large-scale computing, modeling, cyber security, and anomaly detection.
+ CISSP CISA CISM SANS GCIA GCIH OSCP Security+ Experience with heuristic and machine learning analytical models and risk management methodology
+ Knowledge of Microsoft commercial business programs and operations
+ Knowledge of Microsoft compliance and security practices and processes.
+ Knowledge of fraud models impacting Microsoft and its Customers.
Security Operations Engineering IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
