Job Description
The Position
The Strategic Relations Director will play a critical role in shaping Organon’s presence and reputation within the dermatology, allergy and pediatric communities. This individual will lead the development and execution of peer-to-peer education and thought leader engagement strategies for our dermatology product and future portfolio assets. The Director will be responsible for cultivating strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), professional societies, and healthcare providers to drive advocacy, inform strategic planning, and enhance the customer experience across all phases of product life cycle.
This role requires deep cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales, Compliance, Market Access, and Operations to ensure alignment and excellence in execution. The Director will also oversee strategic planning and budget management for speaker programs, advisory boards, congress opportunities, and peer to peer educational initiatives ensuring all initiatives are compliant, impactful, and aligned with Organon’s brand objectives.
Responsibilities
Peer-to-Peer Strategy & Execution
+ Own the Peer-to-Peer strategy, budget, and execution for our dermatology product within the assigned territory and targets, including Speaker Programs, Advisory Boards, Conference Execution, Product theatres and Peer to Peer education initiatives.
+ Ensure highest level of cross functional engagement and collaboration with Marketing, Medical and Sales in the development and execution of Peer-to-Peer strategic initiatives.
KOL Engagement & Advocacy
+ Maintain Key Opinion Leader and Community HCP relationships to shape opinions of Organon and its portfolio of products. Leverage the depth of those relationships to gain better understanding of disease state considerations, treatment patterns, market access experiences and unmet needs in the marketplace.
+ Identify emerging thought leaders through observations and interactions with established leaders in the field. Positively affect commercial success by informing cross functional partners of strategic opportunities within the learnings.
+ Work with the Executive Director, Strategic Relations to develop annual advisory board plan and implement an annual KOL Engagement strategy to support positive Organon perceptions and commercialization initiatives.
Speaker Bureau Management & Execution
+ Fully manage all aspects of our dermatology product's speaker Bureau, including speaker selection, contracting, training, program scheduling, compliance monitoring, balanced utilization and budget adherence with field sales.
+ Provide feedback to speakers on clinical aptitude, delivery of appropriate material and fair balance content. Provide feedback to each speaker once a year. Manage speaker capacity decisions.
+ Oversee all aspects with the Speaker Program Management agency to ensure field sales can execute compliant and high-quality speaker programs seamlessly, speaker bureau budget is balanced.
+ Ensure agency adherence to tracking HCP value transfers (compensation, airfare, lodging, food, beverages, etc) and reporting to MedPro in partnership with Compliance to ensure HCP annual caps are observed and adhered to.
Congress & Conference Leadership
+ Own National & Regional Conference execution to determine level of sponsorship and align with various internal stakeholders including Marketing, Sales and Medical to ensure Organon is well represented across all aspects at Dermatology, Allergy & Pediatric conferences.
+ Oversee and partner with Sales RBD & DBMs on local congress management processes.
+ Lead cross functional pre-conference planning and post-conference recap for all National and Regional Dermatology meetings, including executive strategy & planning for Organon leadership KOL meetings.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
+ Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college/university required. MBA preferred.
+ Requires seven to ten years of relevant experience within the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in one or more of the following: sales, marketing, or thought leader engagement.
+ Strong relationships with KOLs and Dermatologists required.
+ Demonstrated experience building and nurturing KOL relationships.
+ Inherent focus on meeting the needs of patients, as identified from KOLs, Marketing, and Market Access.
+ Working knowledge of Thought Leader engagement activities.
+ Clinical, technical, and scientific knowledge and aptitude in complex disease states.
+ Demonstrated ability to execute against strategic and tactical plans under short timelines.
+ Effective verbal and written communication skills and organizational abilities.
+ Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate cross-functionally.
+ Strong analytical and presentation skills.
+ Strong leadership qualities, demonstrating ability to initiate and lead key projects.
+ History of innovative thinking and documented examples of challenging the status quo.

The applicable salary range for this position in the U.S. is stated below. Benefits offered in the U.S. include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation and holiday time, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.

$168,000.00 - $285,800.00
