    Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a **Staff Engineering Systems** to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Systems Engineering organization. This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

     

    The Ground Release Lead in DevOps Integration & Test IPT will coordinate and execute incremental ground releases, lead cross-functional teams, and manage testing and risk reduction plans. The ideal candidate is a versatile Staff Systems Engineer with expertise in systems integration, requirement verification, and build management, who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and can guide engineers under IPT leadership.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Define and prioritize ground functionality to be delivered in incremental updates

    + Coordinate priorities, schedules, and activities across multiple IPTs for ground activities

    + Lead effort to define and implement test scope

    + Conduct releases and ensure compliance with established program processes and procedures.

    + Prepare, brief, and coordinate ground release turnover to test for all impacted stakeholders.

    + Assess incoming changes to evaluate test impacts on releases and interface with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues.

    + Familiarity with lab based testing.

    + Agile Systems Engineering Experience and familiarity with DevOps practice.

    + Familiarity with software development cycle.

    + Familiarity with Vehicle Subsystem design and test.

    + Experience with leading cross-IPT efforts.

    • **Basic Qualifications (Staff Digital Engineering Systems Architect):**

    + Must have a Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline AND 12 years of related professional/military experience, OR a Master of Science degree in a STEM discipline AND 10 years of related professional/military experience, OR a STEM Ph.D. AND 8 year of related professional/military experience.

    + Must have an active DoD Secret clearance or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).

    + Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company.

    + Must have experience with testing cloud environments and understanding thread, capability, system and subsystem level requirements.

    + Must have experience generating and managing Hardware Software Compatibility

    + Must have experience managing integration and test activities/events and presenting results to customers and senior leadership

    + Must have experience in IFC management

    + Must have experience managing suppliers and obtaining technical data

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Access to strike programs and understanding of NG and Strike IFC processes.

    + Advanced STEM degree preferred.

    + Strong leadership capabilities with previous Systems Engineering leadership experience

    + Experience with DOORS, Confluence, and JIRA.

    + Agile Systems Engineering Experience.

    + Previous Systems Engineering experience.

    + Integrated Hardware/Software (Subsystem/System Feature) validation experience.

    + Previous Experience managing deployments/releases of cloud (AWS, Azure, Akamai) environments and applications

    + Familiar with Software Management and CI/CD tools

    + Basic understanding of earned value management.

     

    Primary Level Salary Range: $147,700.00 - $221,500.00

     

    The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

     

    Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
