We are looking for you to join our team as a **Manufacturing Technician 3** based in **Cape Canaveral, FL** .
**Northrop Grumman Marine Systems-Cape Canaveral** specializes in providing deployed systems support for launching and handling systems for the US Navy US/UK TRIDENT II SSBN programs for our location on board Cape Canaveral Space Force Station.
What You'll Get to Do:
+ Perform disassembly, repair, alteration, assembly, troubleshooting and testing on Launcher Subsystem tactical and support equipment in accordance with approved documentation and under guidance from production support engineering and senior technicians.
+ Read and follow instructions in ordnance documents (ODs), ordnance pamphlets (OPs), alteration documents, Manufacturing Execution System test procedures, trouble failure reports, drawings, safety data sheets, etc.
+ Acquire and maintain certifications for crimping, soldering and other designated skills to support maintenance/alteration activities.
+ Acquire and maintain working knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronics measuring techniques.
+ Perform routine scheduled preventive maintenance of support equipment following established procedures.
+ Acquire and maintain licensing requirements for operation of material handling equipment (e.g., forklifts, cranes, etc.) as assigned.
+ Receive and store materials, parts, consumables, and tools used to repair and maintain launcher components.
+ Keep accurate records documenting completed activities and collected data within processing documentation.
+ Maintain a general understanding of quality, safety, security, and other similar instructions.
The ideal candidate will possess:
+ The ability to work effectively and cooperate with others.
+ Knowledge of basic computer skills (Word, Outlook, etc.).
Basic Qualifications for the Manufacturing Technician 3:
+ A High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience in mechanical and electrical repair of parts, subassemblies, assemblies, and their maintenance.
+ Experience inspecting soldering and assemblies and subassemblies.
+ Experience reading and interpreting mechanical/electrical drawings and technical procedures.
+ The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
+ US citizenship is required.
Preferred Qualifications for the Manufacturing Technician 3:
+ Experience in operating at a government-owned facility.
+ Experience with Strategic System Program (SSP) operations and the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) Program.
+ Experience in electrical requirements (familiar with code requirements and regulations, fabricate & test wire harnesses, test, and assessments of existing/new systems).
Primary Level Salary Range: $51,200.00 - $85,400.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
