Expert Oracle Database Administrator Installation and Support on AWS, Markets, GridOS and Advanced Distribution Management Services projects.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

+ Configure, build, deploy, and maintain internal and customer-deliverable high availability Oracle Databases for Digital Energy systems

+ . Support product development and customization to the standard database infrastructure per project and customer requirements

+ Provide customer support, both in-plant and on-site, for US domestic and international customers Test Oracle Security patches and document implementation procedures for customer systems.

Education Qualification:

+ Associate degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering Technology, or similar technical degree

+ 5+ years professional experience administering Oracle12g and 19c Databases.

+ 1+ year(s) experience delivering systems for Electrical utilities

+ Familiar with database infrastructure for Oracle RAC, Standard Edition High Availability (SEHA) and standalone Oracle.

+ Working knowledge of database backup/recovery procedures, SQL tuning and shell scripting.

+ Working knowledge of developing and implementing database security policies and procedures

+ Experience with integrating Oracle with GE Vernova software products

+ 5+ years experience with Linux (RedHat & Oracle, version 7, 8 & 9)

+ Experience with Windows operating systems.

Desired:

+ Experience administering a production-state system and interacting directly with customers.

+ Working knowledge of storage systems, networks on Linux and Windows platforms

+ Working knowledge of Amazon Web Services

+ Oracle NFS experience

+ Willingness to travel, both US and international.

+ Ability to work as part of a team deploying & administering systems.

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills, particularly in documenting and teaching installation and configuration processes

+ Able to provide root cause analysis of an Oracle Database issue

+ Must be based in USA

+ Provide Development and Production support with a high degree of customer service, technical expertise, and timeliness.

+ Demonstrated working knowledge of internal organization

+ Foresee obstacles, identify workarounds, leverage resources, rally teammates

+ Demonstrated ability to work with and/or lead blended teams, including 3rd party partners and customer personnel

+ Demonstrated Change Management /Acceleration capabilities

+ Strong interpersonal skills, including creativity and curiosity with ability to effectively communicate and influence across all organizational levels

+ Proven analytical and problem resolution skills

+ Ability to influence and build consensus with other Information Technology (IT) teams and leadership

_The salary range for this position is 100,000.00_ - 125,000.00 - 150,000.00 USD Annual. _The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus. Available benefits include Health and Retirement._
