Our client is currently seeking a qualified **Field Service Technician** based in Oakland, CA to join their team and provide end-user support. The ideal candidate must have a reliable vehicle, valid license, and a clean MVR.

Duties and Responsibilities** **:

+ Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals

+ Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems

+ Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security, and systems groups

+ Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed

+ Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs

Skills and Qualifications** **:

+ Associate's degree or its equivalent preferred

+ CompTIA A+ certification preferred

+ Minimum 0 to 3+ years of experience in the field or in a related area preferred

+ Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures

+ Performs a variety of complicated tasks

+ Works under immediate supervision

+ A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required

+ Must have strong people / customer service skills and be able to build relationships and rapport

+ Strong written, communication, and documentation skills

+ Must be able to work independently, is self-motivated and self-disciplined, and not afraid to ask questions if unsure about something

**Wage Range** :

The rate for this position is between **$18.00 - $25.50 per hour.** Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
