Summary You will serve as an ASSISTANT in the MACHINERY RESEARCH LOGISTICS & SHIP INTGRTY DEPT of NSWC PHILA DIV. The Secretary of Defense has ordered a department-wide hiring freeze subject to certain limited exceptions. This position is subject to the DoD hiring freeze. Responsibilities You will serve as an advisor to management in evaluating the effectiveness, productivity, and efficiency of the Division's administrative operations/functions. You will gather, compile, and evaluate facts to make conclusions and recommendations to administrative operations concerning the organization's program. You will maintain, update, monitor, develop, and evaluate division operational information, fiscal/budgetary data, appointments, and technical meetings for assigned programs. You will provide detailed financial reports generated via ERP to the Division Head and ensure all PS errors are corrected on a weekly basis. You will coordinate administrative policies and procedures and provide direction on implementation of administrative and clerical work. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level NG-03 (GS-7/8 equivalency) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing clerical administrative duties in support of budgetary analysis for an organization or program. Education The following education may be substituted for specialized experience at the NG-04: Two full years of graduate level education that is directly related to the position being filled.
