• Application Developer - Cloud Fullstack

    CTG is seeking to fill an Application Developer - Cloud Fullstack for our client in Reston, VA.

     

    **Location:** Reston, VA

    **Duration:** 4 months

    Duties:

    + Develop and deploy cloud-based applications using microservices design patterns.

    + Integrate front-end, back-end, and middleware components while persisting data in NoSQL or RDBMS databases.

    + Apply DevOps methodologies and tools to ensure efficient development, testing, and deployment of cloud applications.

    + Collaborate with senior practitioners to design, build, and maintain secure cloud environments, focusing on uptime, access control, and network security using automation and configuration management tools.

    + Lead full SDLC activities from architecture through deployment, ensuring best practices, code reviews, and automated testing are followed.

    Skills:

    + **Microservices Architecture & Development:** Design and deploy scalable, secure microservices using Python, Java, Node.js.

    + **Cloud Engineering (AWS):** Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB) and infrastructure automation using Terraform.

    + **Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC):** Full lifecycle leadership, adherence to best practices, code reviews, automated testing.

    + **CI/CD & DevOps Integration:** Proficiency with GitLab, CI pipelines, and coding assistants like GHCP for unit test generation.

    + **Data Handling & Formats:** Experience processing large datasets in XML, JSON, Parquet, and integrating with APIs and backend systems.

    + Proficiency in Angular, React, CSS3, HTML5, Java, JEE, Spring, Hibernate, Groovy, REST/SOA services, APIGEE, API Connect, and NoSQL/RDBMS databases.

    Experience:

    + Proven experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications using microservices and modern cloud frameworks.

    + Strong background in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

    + Hands-on experience with large-scale data processing and API integration.

    Education:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

     

    Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.
