We are seeking an Automation Tester with a strong foundation in API automation using Python, preferably with the Pytest framework. This role demands a balanced approach to both hands-on automation development (50%) and in-sprint functional testing (50%) within Agile environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at collaborating with onshore and offshore teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables in fast-paced development cycles.

Your role:

+ Develop and maintain robust API test automation scripts using Python and Pytest.

+ Execute in-sprint functional testing to validate new features and enhancements within Agile iterations.

+ Collaborate with developers, product owners, and QA team members to define test strategies and acceptance criteria.

+ Perform manual validation when necessary to support rapid delivery and ensure comprehensive coverage.

+ Coordinate testing efforts across onshore and offshore teams, ensuring alignment and timely execution.

+ Identify, document, and track defects; work closely with development teams for resolution.

+ Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in test processes and automation frameworks.

Your skills and experience:

+ 3 years of experience in API test automation using Python (Pytest preferred).

+ Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and in-sprint testing practices.

+ Experience with manual testing and test case design.

+ Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems (e.g., Git).

+ Excellent communication and coordination skills, especially in cross-functional and global team environments.

+ Experience with tools like Postman, REST Assured, or similar.

+ Exposure to test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).

+ Knowledge of performance and security testing is a plus.
