This highly motivated individual will be responsible for developing, organizing and overseeing the training program for a manufacturing center of excellence, which includes both office and production employees.
This position reports to the Fabrication Specialist. This role is onsite and is based in Fort Worth, Texas.
Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Training Program Development:
+ Working with Subject Matter Experts (SME’s), assist in the design and implementation of onboarding and on-the-job training programs for production, maintenance, and support staff.
+ Collaborate with department managers and Human Resources to identify training needs and skill gaps.
+ Leveraging SME’s and available training information, assist in creating trainings; such as weld defect training, ASME trainings and other technology related sessions, assisting with facilitation as able.
+ Create and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) documents throughout different departments.
+ Scheduling & Coordination:
+ Schedule training sessions, secure instructors, and manage training logistics.
+ Maintain training calendars and communicate schedules to relevant teams.
+ Coordinate training programs with local schools and businesses.
+ Compliance & Documentation:
+ Ensure training programs meet OSHA, ISO, ASME and other regulatory standards.
+ Maintain accurate training records and certifications in the Watts Learning Management System (LMS).
+ Evaluation & Improvement:
+ Monitor training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and performance metrics.
+ Continuously improve training content based on feedback and operational changes.
+ Provide feedback to Human Resources and other Watts leaders on potential training improvements or changes.
+ Monitor, create and enter Welder Performance Qualification (WPQ) and Welder Operator Performance Qualification (WOPQ) documents.
+ Audit and improve Procedure Qualification Records (PQR’s) and Welding Procedure Specification (WPS’s).
+ Support & Communication:
+ Serve as a point of contact for training-related inquiries.
+ Promote a culture of learning and development across the facility.
+ Support ASME weld training and testing.
+ Support implementation of new policies, procedures, and requirements related to process improvement.
+ Assume responsibility for other projects and duties as assigned by the Fabrication Specialist or Company management.
+ This individual must be committed to Continuous Improvement in the workplace and the design and implementation of training programs.
+ Travel Requirements: 0-10%.
Required Qualifications
+ Two plus years of experience in training coordination, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
+ Technical degree (trade degree) and or equivalent experience in a manufacturing trade.
+ Entry level experience in training design and implementation.
+ Two plus years working and coordinating time management with a proven ability to meet deadlines
+ Ability to deliver hands-on training and facilitate workshops.
+ Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
+ Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
+ Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable.
+ Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including urinalysis, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bilingual (English/Spanish).
+ Previous experience as a trainer in an industrial setting.
+ Familiarity with LMS platforms and training software.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
+ Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies.
+ Strong organizational and communication skills.

Working Conditions:
While performing the job duties, you will be working on-site at a manufacturing facility and will perform the majority of your duties in an office environment. You may, at times, be required to be present on the manufacturing floor and will be required to wear the appropriate personal protective equipment. You will be required to work in the office at the Fort Worth location (Monday – Friday). Your scheduled work hours will be communicated to you by your manager.
