    Purpose:

    In this role, the **Director, Global Real-World Evidence (RWE) - Immunology** will drive the development and execution of industry-leading RWE strategies and talent development across the J&J Global Commercial Strategy Organization (GCSO). Reporting to the **Senior Director, Global RWE** , this individual will work closely with RWE Researchers and Programmers in the analytic hub to enhance global launch planning through innovative, evidence-driven decisions and investments. The Director will also manage key partnerships, collaborating closely with GCDS verticals and cross-functional teams, including Global Medical Affairs, Global Market Access, Global Marketing, Global Epidemiology, J&J Technology Data Sciences, R&D Data Science, and regional medical affairs and evidence generation partners. Responsibilities may evolve in line with business needs and strategic priorities.

    You will be responsible for:

    + Lead the development and execution of global RWE strategy and evidence generation initiatives, including formulating research questions, developing study protocols, selecting and designing research methodologies, collecting and analyzing data, and communicating and publishing research findings to support medical adoption and drive product differentiation for key immunology assets across regions.

    + Represent the Global RWE team as a functional subject matter expert on cross-functional and cross-regional teams, building strong partnerships with Global Medical Affairs, Global Market Access, and other Global Integrated Evidence Generation (IEG) partners, to co-create global RWE strategies and ensure evidence is well-understood and appropriately integrated into Global IEG Plan, and create internal and external resources.

    + Support the Global RWE TA leads in developing real-world data and evidence generation strategies, including budget planning, governance, training and the standardization of fit-for-purpose RWE generation. Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and commercial requirements in the conduct of RW Research and dissemination of scientific information.

    + Lead the coordination and execution of Evidence Labs, facilitating research concept development and stakeholder alignment through the worldwide IEGP process.

    Qualifications / Requirements:

    + A master’s degree in public health, health economics and outcomes research, epidemiology, (bio)statistics or related quantitative research fields is required. A doctorate or advanced degree is desirable.

    + A minimum of 6 years post-graduate experience in the healthcare industry, preferably in RWE, epidemiology, HEOR, healthcare data science, evidence generation in medical affairs/market access environment.

    + Demonstrate fluency in advanced statistical methodologies and emerging approaches in RWE research, with strong knowledge of the latest methodological advancements such as AI, machine learning, and causal inference to advance evidence generation.

    + Proven track record in conducting observational research, including study design, database assessment, protocol development, study execution, dissemination and scientific publication.

    + Working knowledge of global healthcare landscape across key international markets.

    + Strong communication and presentation skills that can communicate research concepts and statistical results to both technical and non-technical audiences are required.

    + This position requires a highly motivated individual with excellent time management, multitasking skills, and intellectual curiosity.

    + Experience in working in a matrix team environment is required.

    + Requires knowledge of all common office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with the ability to master statistical analytics applications (SAS, R, Python,etc.).

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    + Knowledge of global healthcare delivery and reimbursement and payor dynamics is desirable.

    + Immunology disease areas experience is desirable.

    Other:

    + The position is based in Raritan, NJ and will require up to 10% travel, mostly domestic.

    The anticipated base pay range for this position is $160,000 to $276,000 USD
