Minimum Experience 0 Summary The Federal Reserve Board (Board) provides students opportunities for career success. The Board’s Internship program is designed to provide valuable work experience for undergraduate and graduate students considering careers including, but not limited to, economics, finance and accounting, information systems, and data analysis. The Board believes that by combining academic endeavors with project-related work experience, qualified and capable college students can gain the practical knowledge need in a competitive global job market. Internships are paid positions with salaries commensurate with credit hours; internships may be in-person, remote or hybrid, depending on the needs of the team. Employment in the Board’s internship program is granted to U.S. citizens. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited university and returning to continue studies after the internship. Interns receive a syllabus or research project plan outlining their projects and goals for the internship. Interns are assigned a supervisor or mentor to guide them through their internship, and regular check-in meetings with their manager to manage performance expectations and assist with learning goals. Interns have access to a wide range of training programs and events for professional development purposes. Position Requirements About the Team & Role Technology Services (TS) provides application, automation, and desktop support to our business lines of the Division of Management and the Division of Financial Management. Our TS internship is the ideal opportunity to work in an environment where transformation and organizational change management intersect with human resources, finance, and other technology systems. As an intern with the team, you will support: TS initiatives and will be expected to support existing TS compliance programs. Risk assessments and testing within the TS compliance program. Monitoring of business processes and controls as it relates to TS systems and cloud services, help analyze and document current compliance function workflows, and research industry recommended enhancements and standardization that may address potential compliance gaps. Documenting changes to TS processes and procedures to address compliance gaps or improve adherence to regulatory requirements. You will leverage TS data and analytics to identify root causes of compliance issues and you should be familiar with or have the ability to learn NIST, SOX and/or COBIT frameworks, Risk management or Compliance initiatives. About You (Skills/Background) The team is seeking someone with an IT Compliance and Information Security background via academic and/or work experience in Information Security, Information Technology Compliance, or Project Support. You must be motivated to develop career skills, which align with business and technology through people, process, and tools. We're looking for strong interpersonal skills, self-motivation, excellent written and oral skills, and a customer centric approach. You must be able to excel on an individual as well as team assignments. US Citizenship is required. Applicants must be current students, graduating from their academic program August 2026 or later.
