    Special Education Teacher – Life Skills | $46/hr | Full-Time | Elementary | In-Person | 2025–2026 School Year

     

    Amergis Educational Staffing is hiring a full-time Special Education Teacher to support an elementary life skills classroom for the 2025–2026 school year. This in-person role begins October 20, 2025, and runs for 36 weeks, offering $46/hour for 37.5 hours/week.

    Position Overview:

    + Start Date: October 20, 2025

    + Duration: 36 weeks

    + Schedule: Monday–Friday, school hours (37.5 hours/week)

    + Modality: In-person

    + Pay Rate: $46/hour

    + Campus: Elementary (specific campus discussed during interview)

    Responsibilities:

    + Provide specialized instruction in a life skills setting

    + Collaborate with general education and support staff

    + Participate in planning and implementation of IEPs

    + Deliver tutorial assistance and consultation

    Minimum Requirements:

    + Valid state teaching certificate with SPED endorsement (elementary level)

    + Generalist or Core Certification for elementary level

    + Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university (preferred)

    + One year of teaching experience (preferred)

    + LBS1 endorsement (preferred)

    + CPR certification, TB clearance, and health certificate as applicable

    + Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

    + Must be at least 18 years of age
