Amergis Healthcare Staffing is partnered with a much-respected facility in Athol, MA who is currently seeking a qualified Certified Medical Assistant to assist them on a contractual basis.
Details of the position include:
Position: Certified Medical Assistant
Facility Type: Outpatient Substance Abuse Clinic
Pay: $25/hr
Start: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks, likely extension
Hours: 40
Shifts:
+ 8a-6p
+ Mon-Fri
Requirements:
+ 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant in a fast-paced medical office required.
+ 1 year of phlebotomy experience required.
+ Prior experience in administering injections is preferred; candidates must be willing to undergo
training to perform this function if not already proficient.
+ Knowledge of billing, prior authorizations, and payment reconciliations.
+ 1 year experience with Customer Services, Behavioral Health, and/or Healthcare facilities
preferred. Demonstrated ability to support patient’s during critical moments in their lives, providing
compassionate care and understanding.
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, email, and electronic health records (EMR).
