Salary: $805 / Week

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to supporting students with diverse learning needs and creating inclusive educational environments. This position serves students with disabilities across a range of instructional settings, including resource, inclusion, and self-contained classrooms.

Qualifications:

+ Required:

+ Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL)

+ LBS1 Endorsement (Learning Behavior Specialist 1)

+ Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution

+ Demonstrated knowledge of IEP development and implementation

+ Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and behavior management strategies

+ Preferred:

+ Experience working with students with high-incidence and low-incidence disabilities

+ Familiarity with assistive technology and inclusive practices

Responsibilities:

+ Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with families and multidisciplinary teams

+ Provide specialized instruction aligned with students’ needs and IEP goals

+ Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly

+ Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff

+ Maintain accurate records and comply with all state and federal regulations

+ Foster a positive and supportive learning environment
