Utilization Review RN – Contract Opportunity
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 13 weeks (with likelihood of extension)
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8:30a-5p
Misc: Local Candidates Only. No block-schedules.
Pay Rate: Up to $3,000.00/Wk.
About the Role:
Amergis HealthcareStaffing is seeking an experienced Utilization Review RN to join acollaborative team focused on ensuring patients receive medically necessary,cost-effective care. This role combines clinical expertise with administrativeresponsibilities, working closely with providers, insurance companies, and careteams to optimize resource utilization and patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Review and analyze medical records to assess medical necessity and appropriateness of treatments.
+ Conduct prospective, concurrent, and retrospective utilization reviews.
+ Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and insurance providers to coordinate care and obtain pre-authorizations.
+ Ensure compliance with pay guidelines, regulatory standards, and facility policies.
+ Document all utilization review activities accurately in EMR systems.
+ Participate in quality improvement initiatives and discharge planning.
+ Educate patients and families on care plans and available resources.
Qualifications:
+ AHA BLS certification required.
+ Minimum 1-2 years of experience.
+ Must have acute care experience.
+ EPIC experience is highly preferred.
+ Flu vaccine required during season.
+ Must work every other major holiday.
