    Salary: $840 / Week

     

    Certified Medical Assistant – Contract Opportunity

     

    + Location: Hyannis, MA

    + Start Date: ASAP

    + Duration: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)

    + Shift: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/wk.

    + Pay Rate: Up to $25/hr (based on experience)

    About the Role:

    Amergis Staffing is partnered with a highly respected healthcare facility in Wareham, MA, seeking a Certified Medical Assistant to join their team on a contractual basis. This role is essential in supporting providers and managing both clinical and administrative responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures

    + Perform phlebotomy and administer injections (training provided if needed)

    + Manage patient interactions with professionalism and compassion

    + Support billing, prior authorizations, and payment reconciliations

    + Utilize EMR systems and Microsoft Office tools effectively

    Qualifications:

    + High School Diploma or equivalent

    + Medical Assistant Certification required

    + Min. 1 year of experience as an MA in a fast-paced medical office

    + 1 year of phlebotomy experience required

    + Prior experience administering injections preferred (training available)

    + Knowledge of billing processes and prior authorizations

    + Experience in customer service, behavioral health, or healthcare settings

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Teams, and EMR systems

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or ability to obtain within 90 days
