This role will support the Strategic Business Development team in key initiatives to drive growth across Retail Learning, Market Development (focusing on Asia and Asian clientele), Commercial Watch Business Development, Global Real Estate Operations, and Travel Retail Development. This role combines aspects of business development and operational support. The VIE will collaborate with cross-functional teams, assist through administrative duties in project management and support key projects.
VIE Program Requirements (must be met):
+ Ages 18 - 28
+ French or European Union citizen (cannot be a U.S. Citizen)
+ Be available to work in New York, NY for the entire 18-month program
+ Be in good standing with regard to the national service obligations of your country(ies) (defence ID n°)
+ Available to devote yourself full time to your assignment
**Salary:** The salary for this position is **€ 5072.76** per month.
Key Accountabilities:
+ **Market Development (Asia Focus):** Work with the Director to support efforts to enhance the company's market positioning and brand awareness among Asian consumers. Support market research efforts to identify trends, assess the competitive landscape, and understand client preferences.
+ **Commercial Watch Business Development (SAPAC & Japan):** Contribute to creating implementation roadmaps, including timelines, milestones, and success metrics.
+ **Global Real Estate Operations:** Monitor and analyze sales performance data, providing insights and benchmark metric reports.
+ **Travel Retail Strategy Development and Implementation:** Conduct market research to support the identification of trends, competitive landscape, and travel retail client needs – providing information and insights.
+ **Strategic Project Support:** Agility to support leadership in a range of topics that may come up, based on the needs of the business.
+ **Operational Support:**
+ Assist in translating the overall plan into actionable initiatives and monitoring progress against KPIs.
+ Support the execution of ad-hoc strategic projects.
+ Monitor market trends and help identify emerging opportunities for growth.
+ Provide research, data, and presentation support to the Director on business issues relevant to strategic business development.
+ Support the preparation of briefing materials and presentations for the team.
+ Support cross-functional alignment and accountability for strategic priorities.
Required Qualifications:
+ Fluent in English both verbally and business writing
+ 3-5 years of experience in business development or consulting and sales, or a related field
+ Understanding of the luxury retail industry is a plus, especially knowledge of jewelry and watches
+ Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
+ Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
