    Job Description

    The Leave Coordinator supports the administration and coordination of leave and disability plans, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws. This role assists employees with leave requests, manages documentation, and works closely with leadership throughout the return-to-work process.

    Essential Functions:

    Assist employees with leave of absence requests and communicate with relevant business partners.

     

    Monitor and document leaves to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies.

     

    Manage attendance inquiries related to protected leaves and notify HR Support of appropriate absence coding.

     

    Support the administration of the workers’ compensation program and ADA process.

     

    Ensure accurate data entry in HRIS and timekeeping systems.

     

    Serve as audit liaison for internal and external audits.

     

    Conduct new hire benefits and company policy orientations.

     

    Maintain confidentiality and deliver excellent customer service.

    Skills and Requirements

     

    High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s Degree in business or related field preferred.

     

    Minimum three (3) years of experience in benefit and/or leave administration, HR compliance, or administrative support.

     

    Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and HRIS database programs (e.g., Kronos).

     

    Strong organizational, written communication, and presentation skills.

     

    Working knowledge of federal and state regulations (ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, ADAAA, FMLA, ACA, Section 125).
