    We're Hiring a Logistics & Scheduling Coordinator at Bridgeport, NJ!

    Summary:

    The Logistics & Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for supporting the production team by performing logistics and scheduling related functions. This role involves collecting accurate details to process domestic and international shipments and the supporting documents required. This role will be responsible scheduling carriers based on input from effective communication with internal team and external carriers and customers to meet production goals. The Logistics & Scheduling Coordinator assists in preparing reports, identifying trends, and providing insights to improve logistics operations.

    Responsibilities:

    Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination

    • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products

    • Facilitate, coordinate, and lead the logistics activities for domestic and international shipments

    • Communicate with suppliers and carriers to coordinate shipments

    • Monitor shipment status and update relevant parties

    • Maintain accurate records of all supply chain activities

    • Create and review shipping documentation

    • Verifying physical shipment match documentation, and proper packaging for fragile, sensitive, and/or hazmat cargo.

    • cost mitigation, quote sourcing

    • Identify and address any supply chain issues or delays

    Data Management

    • Accurately enter and maintain data in logistics database

    Inventory Management

    • Track and monitor specific item inventory needed for logistics function

    Cost Analysis

    • Monitor and report on logistics costs and expenses to relevant stakeholders

    • Identify cost-saving opportunities and make recommendations for improvement

    Process Improvement

    • Continuously review and evaluate current logistics processes

    • Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for streamlining processes

    • Implement and track the effectiveness of process improvements

    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall logistics operations

    Compliance

    • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies

    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations and best practices

    • Identify and report any compliance issues or concerns

    • Implement and monitor compliance training for logistics team members.

    Qualifications:

    • **Required:** High School Diploma or equivalent, plus at least 2 years of experience in logistics and inventory—preferably in a manufacturing setting. Alternatively, a degree in Business Administration, in Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience that demonstrates knowledge of core theories, principles, and concepts.

    • Basic understanding of logistics, supply chain, and inventory management principles and practices.

    • Some knowledge of import, export, trade compliance a plus

    • Proficiency in transportation management software, inventory management software, and or ERP software.

    • Basic understanding of an ERP System (e.g. SAP) preferred

    •Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Teams applications

    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

    • Customer Focused effective verbal and written communication skills

    • Minor lifting up to 25 lbs

    • 80% office, required to be outside in the heat/cold/weather to obtain accurate measurements for shipments and to correspond with driver’s regarding paperwork
